Album Cover
An album cover inspired by the experimental visual style of April Greiman and the raw, energetic aesthetic of the Foo Fighters. This project blends both influences into a design that feels unconventional, expressive, and true to the spirit of each artist.
I was tasked with pairing an artist from a major art movement with a band or musician whose aesthetic aligns with that style, then creating an album cover that merges the two. I chose April Greiman, an early pioneer of digital experimentation with postmodern design; and the Foo Fighters, a band known for their high energy sound and willingness to push outside traditional genre boundaries. (That's what I told my professor, really they're just my favorite band.)
The final design combines Greiman’s layered abstract visual language with the Foo Fighters’ bold attitude. Both artists thrive on mixing influences and breaking expectations, so the goal was to create a cover that feels unconventional, expressive, and reflective of that shared creative spirit.
